2023 Michael and Wendy Hays Race to Feed the Hungry

$25.00 – $40.00Year after year, The Michael and Wendy Hays Race to Feed the Hungry donates thousands of dollars to the Idaho Falls’ Community Food Basket.
Registration
Online registration is now closed. You can still register at packet pickup or the morning of the race.
Each entry comes with chip timing, a swag bag with goodies from local businesses, and a donation to the Idaho Falls Community Food Basket!
Registrations that include a shirt are no longer available. Additional shirts may be purchased the morning of the race for a small fee on a first come first serve basis.
Start Time
This year’s race will be in traditional format with the 10K starting at 9:00 a.m. and the 5K starting at 9:15.
Your bib has a chip on it that will automatically start your time when you cross the start line and give your results immediately after you cross the finish line.
Packet Pickup
Packet Pickup will be located at the Community Food Basket’s Warehouse from 3:00 to 6:00 on Wednesday, November 22nd (1895 N Boulevard, Idaho Falls). If you can not make it on Wednesday, you can pick your packet and bib up on Thanksgiving day prior to the race. We have a lot of people who need their packets, so please come on Wednesday if at all possible to help alleviate congestion on the morning of the race.
Food donations will be accepted there, but will not cover the registration fee as the Food Basket has asked us to focus on making a monetary donation. The Food Basket can make a dollar stretch much further than they can make cans of food stretch and we would like to make as big of a difference as possible.
Course
We will be running the same courses that we did last year. These courses are still new to many people so please take some time to view the maps and familiarize yourself with where you will be running.
Awards and Raffles
Awards will be categorized as follows. Top three male and female. First place male and female in age groups 1-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
Awards will be announced shortly following the races.
A raffle table will also be available the morning of the race. Tickets will be on sale for $1 each, $10 for twenty, or $20 for a wingspan’s worth of tickets (you get to choose who measures so pick the person with the longest arms!)
Raffle tickets must be deposited before the race begins, as winners will be drawn during the run. Come back after you cross the finish line to see if you won!
